HaLL Se7eN fReShMeN oRiEnTaTiOn cAmP 07/08 - dAy 1

This post is due super long ago.. but then.. since its recess week next week.. i guess i can spent sometimes updating my blog.. haha.. a whole new environment marks a new beginning.. so i guess its onli wise to go for at least a camp to know more pple so can depend on one another in times of need.. since i had alreadi skipped Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering (CBE) Camp.. i tink i must not missed my Hall Freshmen Orientation Camp (FOC).. after all i will be living there for the next 1 yr and it will be better and more fun knowing pple in there la.. haha..

Well.. i am posted to Hall 7 which many of my friends in NTU said its a very old hall and veri isolated.. Furthermore no canteen.. but then i tink its one of the nearesr to school compound la.. so its like no issue to me.. haha.. Hall 7 FOC was from 30th July, Mon to 4th August, Sat.. so i practically spent the whole of Sunday preparing for the stuffs i need to bring for FOC & settling in my room in hall la..

30th July'07, Monday
Since the FOC began at 5.30pm on Monday.. My roommate, Eddie who is my JC classmate, and i decided to check into our room earlier to settle down.. He checked in earlier than me as he stayed nearer to NTU than me.. MUCH nearer.. Lakeside as compared to AngMoKio.. wat do you think?? After i reached and got my key to my room 38-3-712 (Blk-Lvl-Rm), we went to our room.. Well.. the room is totally cui-ed.. i tink my army bunk is nicer lo.. haha.. and its damn dirty.. the toilet oso cui-ed la.. low morale..

After some simple cleaning up and settling down.. its time for us to went down la.. we reached ON TIME but there is like so little pple ard.. haha.. after paying the FOC fee, i got my grp, Greco.. There are 4 grps namely Greco, Liggio, Brusca & Russo & the theme of FOC is "Survivor! Break Free 2007".. I was the first to be in e comm hall other than my OGLs (Orientation Group Leaders) & a fake freshie (stupid ZhenHao).. slowly more pple came to join in.. and we started playing Ice-Breaker after there is like sufficient pple.. well.. i admit i am bad at names and i suay suay get one of the last person who has to repeat everyone's name b4 me.. -_-".. after which we had Pizza for dinner before the GLs started teaching us how to cheer.. maybe its e 1st day la.. everyone is like shy lo.. so e cheers we shout are like super soft.. Next, our GLs taught us how to play some stupid games la.. in order to raise the atmosphere in e grp.. i decided to be more enthu in e game.. haha.. and luckily it works and make many pple laughed lo..

Next we went to an empty area in front of my blk to paint our Greco banner.. luckily we got a design student in out grp.. so most of us no need to crack our heads for e design.. however.. the paintbrushes we were given were to hard to use.. -_-".. so we decided to paint we our bare hands.. After painting.. we proceed to re-cap our cheers again before dismissing to rest.. oh.. and this is not the 1st day of camp.. this is just a preparation for the camp in e next few days..

31st July'07, Tuesday
In the morning, we gathered at the courtyard at 8pm to have our breakfast.. din eat much cos its Nasi Lemak & its veri troublesome to eat.. haha.. After breakfast we went to comm hall to refresh some cheers before talks by Hall Fellow (Professor), ParaCounsellor (don tink will need their help) and Head Of FOC.. Then we had some small entertaining games..

After which.. we have a small amazing race.. we started off with each grp were given 100 ice-cream sticks.. we were suppose to gather 50more sticks by using our ice-cream sticks to gamble in games like dice, in-between, even-odd etc.. me & Sam (who was same sec sch, Victoria Sch, as me & him click well) took some sticks and went to play on our own.. well.. think we realli bai jia zhi.. we nearly lost all.. haha.. but luckily the rest of our grp were zai & Greco managed to be the 1st team to reach our target..

After which.. we had to jog to Arts & Design Media (ADM) Building which is like 1 km plus away.. and the programmer is on the top of the building la.. -_-".. Then we had to play 7-ups there.. but then we had to lie down on the grass patch and each person shout once and everytime u shout had to do one sit-up.. mind you.. the grass is pricky.. haha.. at the end of the game we are given clue to the next location and a letter.. all the letters gather at each game will be a password to key into the comp for a treasure..

After which, we jogged to Sports & Recreation Centre (SRC) which is another km plus away.. our next game is where by we had to do pull-up and see the letters on top and shout to a grp who was stationed a distance away.. den they had to form up a word..

Then we proceeded to a playing field opp hall 1 (i tink.. if not wrong.. haha).. we were divided into 2 grps & between us there is a high wall.. we were supposed to throw a ball across it and the pple on e other side had to catch with their shirts.. the game finished after all pple caught the ball at least once..

Next location.. Yunnan Garden which is a few hundred metres from e field.. we had a hard time finding our programmer cos there were other hall programmer there too.. so keep making mistake.. haha.. at there, we were suppose to remember a series of words associated with colour.. then we had to walk on a map with different colour combination on it and we supposed to cross one at a time until everyone was on the other side.. the GLs had to walk on their back.. haha..

Next, we went to the fountain beside LT2 for our next game.. we were suppose to fill a pipe with the fountain water using anything we had on our body, so that we could take a ping-pong ball in it.. at first i use mouth.. then they warned tt the water veri dirtied.. -_-".. so late then say..

Before heading back hall, we had our last game at Quartz.. this time round we had to stand on a stairs forming a long line.. at one end, there will be a glass filled wif oranges juice & on the other end, an empty glass.. each of us either held a straw or a plastic cup.. the objective is to transport the juice to the other end in the shortest time possible.. and i can tell you.. its gross.. in order to be fast.. have to filled ur mouth wif juice den transfer.. though we try as much to cheat by transferring using cup.. but then.. still.. the ending result is a glass of orange juice wif unknow stuffs float on it.. and if we wanted to cut short the timing, we had to finished the products.. -_-"

When we went back & key in the password for the "treasure", we were instructed to go to blk 37 TV lounge to take our "treasure" which is some water and chips lo.. haha.. den someone suddenly came in and shouted "you all are under arrest!".. -_-".. after which names are called one by one to go up to 2nd storey to take photo and being interrogated in the toilet.. The qns are lame la.. like which tattoos u prefer, wat brand of cigarettes you prefer.. which weapon u prefer to kill pple.. haha.. after we finished, we proceeded to Comm Hall to wait for the rest..

Next game.. we supposed to run a short distance individually to burst a balloon wif flour & a piece of paper in it using our bare hand.. the piece of paper is a part of a picture tt form a senior from 17th Junior Common Room Committee (JCRC).. after we knew who is e person we suppose to tie her hands & legs up & carried her to a chair in e comm hall and let e programmer to put shaving cream on her face & hair.. den we will assigned 2 person who are blindfold to clear off the cream using plastic spoons?? haha.. the winning team will not be required to send representative up on stage for seniors to smack cream on them.. as we were e 3rd grp.. we must sent 2 person up.. haha..

well.. i was warned not to put the next 2 photos.. if not my life will be threatened.. haha.. after cleaning up.. we proceed to play captain's ball but the ball is balloon filled wif unknown liquid.. finish liao we went outside to play the next game.. we had to wear a newspaper shirt and sit on a tyre while some gals opp are suppose to drag us over.. in the midst.. other Orientation Group (OG) will be throwing water bomb at the person on the tyre.. objective.. get across the map with the newspaper still in a piece..

After the game, we went inside comm hall again to play dum.. but the seeds are us la.. some of us choose the back row.. den we no need to keep moving.. in fact the whole game we din move at all!! haha.. relax one corner.. next we had our dinner after a strings of activities before we were introduced to our "desserts" cum some dirty activities..

The first station.. there were 5 plates.. we oak, coffe powder, milo powder, condensed milk and some gluey stuffs plus a cup of water.. we had to use our mouth to transport the content into a tampoon.. den mixed.. den... den.. DRINK!! disgusting shit.. haha.. why must we drank each other salivas so many times??

The desserts was not bad if you don tink about it la.. next we went to BLK39 kitchenette for next "desserts".. hmmm.. we got to picked some cards.. den the cards will determined wat ingredients to be used den will had to mixed all and make into juice.. haha.. got celery, onion, wasabi, lime and etc.. the drinks were bad la.. there was alot of fibers in it.. tink its worst than e previous one.. (issit??)

Finished drinking liao.. we went to the BLK 39 stone table which we had some dirty game.. we suppose to put our 4 limbs on the colour indicated by the programmer.. its not onli slippery.. it oso veri tiring to maintain the position somemore must squeeze together.. haha.. After we freshies were positioned.. the GLs came in.. and they came in just to disturb onli lo.. "accidentally" smear the paint onto us.. but then we oso wont guai guai be "bullied" by them.. haha.. so we retaliate back!! haha.. den in the small pathway to the washing area in between 2 walls.. we started paint war!! haha.. i started.. den suddenly 4 or more hands came and i failed to siam.. -_-"..

after washing up.. we went to our final "dessert" station.. this time round we were treated to ice-cream.. but then on one condition.. one guy had to be half naked.. den wrapped plastic ard his belly.. den they will pour the tub of ice-cream on top of him.. YES! pour.. cos its like half melted.. den we had to lick it off his body.. -_-"..

after this sinful activity which will increase my calories.. we went to the muddy field behind BLK39.. at there.. we had to perform back crawl under some strings on the mud.. along the way we had to pick up eggs.. some are raw while some are cooked.. at e end of the crawl.. we had to crack the egg using our head.. -_-".. haha.. well.. the mud reminds me of army days la.. its so cooling &.. DISGUSTING.. haha..

Thanks to tt activity.. i had to throw away the polo tee i am wearing.. luckily its army shirt.. tt means its free!! haha.. i got a hard time washing the stupid mud away from my shorts la.. luckily its board shorts.. so its water proof.. so still not tt bad la..
